Arielle Jennings is a native Brooklyn, NY artist and arts educator. She is a 2014 RISD graduate and received her BFA in Illustration. She previously worked as Student Program Manager at Exploring the Arts. Through her work, Arielle was able to directly interact with Title 1 schools, community arts partners, and high school youth within the five boroughs. She aspires to show youth that art can be found in every borough of NYC and that everyone can be an artist, regardless of their level of "formal training".
As a freelance illustrator, Arielle has created social media graphics for The Tempest Co., article illustrations for Ramona Magazine for Girls (now Ramona Mag.), and mixed media photo illustrations for Brooklyn Conservatory of Music. She has shown work at Ground Floor Gallery, La Bodega Gallery, Arts Gowanus, sk.ArtSpace, The Other Art Fair, Where Are The Black Designers, RISD, Barnard College, and various online exhibitions. Arielle utilizes bold color, patterned design, and melanin figures in her work to tell multi-faceted narratives about the Black experience.
